Is Dave happy ?

What do you think is Dave happy with the way things are at the moment ?

He looks quite happy in recent photos and seems to me that he has finally given up hope for a VH reunion. As far as I can tell a reunion was something he had been hoping for the recent years.

Maybe he has learned to live with the fact that he will probably never have the possibility to play again to sellout arenas and is happy just doing some club shows every now and then and pursuing new careers in medicine or radio talk shows.

There is life after rock stardom and I hope that Dave has realized this as well and is satisfied with what he has today. I wish him all the best in all his endeavours.

Well, he would haved liked to reunite with Van Halen, but now, he is too good for them. Well, at least I think that. It seems he is happy, doing his own thing.

I honestly don't believe it's about the sold out stadium gigs or the money for him anymore.

I think he just wants the magic on stage one more time, for some closure.

That's the only reason it hasn't happened yet. He wants to be accepted back in 100% or nothing. That's why there's no videos for BOV1 or no reunion tour yet. He didn't want to tour under "Van Halen with David Lee Roth" Everyone on Earth EXCEPT the sisters know that DLR is the face of VH. Until they admit it, it aint gonna happen.

But I think Dave is happy. He said it best himself...

"I'm generally happy, I'm just never content."

Content... now thats a good word too. I think the EMT pic of Dave in front of the ambulance, and the pics shot of him on this tour, look content. And its a good look for Dave.

I wonder if he is satisfied?

No one knows how someone else feels, but by the look of it it seems he's having a great time at the moment. He's in a good position of still being able to sing to a live audience, travel, do his EMT work (which is obviously important to him and must give him a great sense of achievement) and other stuff he enjoys.

The main thing that comes across to me is Dave is in touch with real folk in many aspects of his life. Thats what Dave does best, he's a people person. He thrives on challenges. He certainly seems really grounded and at his age is entitled to do what pleases him. And so he should!!!!

I think he wishes he was still ontop kicking ass to sold out venues. WHo would'nt. With teh way things have gones for both VH and Dave, you would think it would be a no brianer to get out there and kick ass 1 last time.

Ray leaving makes me think that Dave is going back to halen. Ray has been with him a long time and the last time I seen Ray he was kinda down. Maybe he knew things then that I didnt. Dave has been good to his workers, so he told him early to get a new gig. Its just a thought.
