There's considerable crap in this thread (which I have not read), so forgive me if someone already pointed out this possibility...

For the sake of argument, let's assume that Ed did call Dave.

What do you think his (Ed's) motiviation would be:

A) He's a drunk that likes to call people when inebriated.
B) He realizes CVH requires Dave and (a sober) Eddie
(and that's all it requires, btw).
C) He's full of piss and vinegar and he's trying to sabotage
any of Dave's future plans.

I vote for C. It puts Dave in a lose-lose scenario. If Ed made the call and Dave said 'forget it', then Ed can pass blame onto Dave for the lack of a CVH reunion. If Ed made the call and Dave said 'let's go' then Ed and Al could play their games (Deja Vu, anyone) long enough to screw up Dave's other ambitions.

Personally, I'd rather just see Dave. For Eddie, Alex, and Mike... thanks for your part of CVH, goodbye and may you live your life in peace. Well actually... I could use a few bottles of BBQ sauce.
