Here's why they add a show before the first one is sold-out. Now pay close attention and let me tell you this happens with every major tour in the country. Once all the great seats sell out quickly the place of the event decides to add an extra date immediately a) to make sure the band is available and B) because they know the cheap seats will be sold by the night of the show for all the stragglers or people that decide to go last minute. Have you never been to a concert before? I live in Los angeles and this happens all the time with big rock acts like Springsteen, Van Halen, Prince, Madonna etc. It's supply and demand. Plus, if a date is added most people will buy tickets for the second show once the great seats for the first show are gone so that they too can have great seats. it amazes me the lack of intelligence when it comes to concerts and the music industry on the board.

Each ticketmaster page is regional. Where do you live? is VH playing near you? If not then they won't come up under hot ticket you ass.

Since Sammy refuses to sing Roth songs, it annoys me to hear shameless radio promotions of the current VH tour start with Hot For Teacher, followed by And The Cradle Will Rock, and then Eruption before Poundcake and various assorted Van Hager tunes fill the background of the tour announcement. It irritates me how the Van Halen camp engage in bait and switch tactics by promoting their tour with DLR music, then intend to provide Sammy at the gig. 'Flabbergasting' is one of the first words to spring to mind when I hear DLR singing " I heard about your lessons, but lessons are so cold. I know about this school...", while the announcer reads the band line-up, "...EDDIE.... ALEX... MICHAEL... AND SAMMY!"

If DLR's voice and intellectual property is going to be used to promote the current Van Halen tour, then DLR should be entitled to some royalties and share of tour profits. After all, it's his career with Van Halen that is being used to promote it.

As the lovely and invigorating Ally would say, "What the collective fuck?!!"

As of 9pm EST on 4/5/04, they have put 16 shows on sale and sold out 4. Not too bad for a band that has been pretty much inactive with a different singer every fucking year.
