Sammy is a good pimp. He's made a lot of money over the years selling his mediocre image and songs. It takes a pretty good businessman to do that. Sammy isn't dumb when it comes to money or promotional opportunities. In fact, he's better at this than David Lee Roth. I always, thought David could market himself better.

Anyways, why Sammy is donating his merchandise is easy. Look at all the news coverage Katrina victims are getting. There's cameras all over those folks and there will be for months to come. Sammy knows if you get a good share of those people wearing Cabo Wabo merchandise, it's a lot of advertising tax free.

Here's the reality of the travesty. For the people on welfare. The system they were living on got flooded. The city of New Orleans bought votes with welfare dollars and if you were on the dole, it was the place to be. Well, that system is down, those people are in shelters wondering what the govt. is going to do for them. Since big govt. handouts seems to be what people want, these people should have no problem finding another welfare system to milk. They didn't own anything to begin with.

Then theres the middle class where their places of work or business got destroyed. Not to mention their homes. These people lost everything including their livelyhood. Since, they don't live on handouts, they are going to have to work for years to rebuild what they had. Hopefully, they had some cash on hand because living off a credit card can get you into trouble quick.

Then there's the rich. The smart ones got out early and had good insurance to cover the damage. The dumb ones might be in a shelter but of course, if they have their checkbook they are fine. Of course the rich who lost their job and lived pay check to pay check are in trouble.

When it all pans out. The poor will get the most govt. help. They always do and have since Lindon Johnson was president. If they want more, they will cry discrimination and racism. They will live on the govt. dole wasting any extra money they have on stupid shit like expensive clothes and such.

The workers will come back but it may take decades for some and some many never get it back completely. But since they are producers, the govt. will tax them even more to pay for the promised aid.
