Guys want to talk shit about Vai because all they know is what he did with David Lee Roth.

That was some good exposure for him too, but it PALES in comparison to the stuff he laid down with the legendary Frank Zappa.

How do you define success? Sitting around your fucking house for 10 years doing nothing but bragging about music you will never release? Vai has been releasing albums, touring the world both with and without G3. He does guest spots, soundtracks and on and on. Thats not including the label he started etc.

Roth and the VH brothers don't like each other. They are in there 50's with no fire to become stars or wealthy to trump that. This tour will be the shallow, shadow of their former selves tour that 2004 was. The only difference is that the Roth sheep are pissing themselves instead of the Hagar sheep.

If there was no R&R HOF and evh DIDN'T a shitload of new gear that he wants to pimp do really think there would be any discussion of getting with Roth? The answer is no.
