And a vast silence ensues..."What we've been doing, which is great and certainly cost saving, is I train in the sand pit in McDonald's. I do a few laps. I go through the tunnel a few times. The kids don't mind if I smoke. Plus, when I'm done, lunch is right there."- DLR 2003 -
I saw Sammy Hagar live in 1978 backing Boston in New Haven, Ct.
He was lame then and nothing has changed in 27 years.
I remember 2 things about the concert:
1. Nobody had heard of Sammy Hagar
2. Nobody cared
Sammy has always sucked musically. He's always been a wannabe rocker. Some people can't see it, but others see right through him and it bothers him, because he knows it's true.Comment

I saw them 2 months before you did light 'em up! and then again 4 months later...
You saw them Nov. 8, 1978.
I saw them Sept. 15, 1978 in Seattle, then again March 8, in Wichita, Kansas.
Nothing different to report.
I taped both concerts, but the tapes from the Sept. 1978 show were stolen in early 1979, which is one reason I went again.
I still have the Boston tape from March 8, 1979 in Wichita. I don''t think I bothered recording Spambo The Flatulent.
Saw him on the 3 suck Cock Tour at Reunion Arena in Dallas in 1982-1983 or so.
Yawwn.
It was a waste of money and time.Comment

I think the only song he was ever noticed for back in the day was "Rock Candy" and that was because of Montrose...whoppeee!Comment

Yeah...to be fair MONTROSE wasnt horrible....It's just that anything that has to do with HAGAR makes me feel sorry for anyone surrounding him. It's like: Did you check out Montrose last night?
Yeah..the guitarist was great..but the singer....Comment
