it's true isn't it. I think some of the best vocalists aren't actually that good at singing technically.

it's about how you carry a song and the human qualities you add to it.

compare jump 1984 to jump yflm premiere radio broadcast, dummy.(if you are such a huge fan then i would assume you have a copy).if you can't hear a difference then you are more tonedeaf than dave hisself.

like i stated before, his last great vocal, the last of diamond dave as we know it, was "don't piss me off" which was even mixed high over the music.

it has changed definitely but if he stayed within his range he'd be ok. often times though he inserts a pathetic yelp or goes in the other direction and half talk sings with a real weird tone (see the gigolo performance from florida nov 05). with all said he has alot of trouble singing his own songs from the past.
