Long time roth fan here. You guys seem preetty cool. I am new to this site. Classic Van Halen is my favorite band of all time. I have finally accepted the fact that they will never get back together. Did anybody here go to the Cherone concerts. Granted, he was not a great match for VH , but the best thing about Cherone was he sang a lot of David lee songs in conert that Sammy would not sing...

Hey Whisky, That is exactly right. That is why That tour sticks in my head the most of recent ones. It was great to hear romeo,dtna,mean streets and I'm the One. It was not dave but it was better then never hearing maybe the most kick ass songs written never perferomed again.

Cherone is a flaming ass pirate ! He's as much of a prancing flamer
as George Michael. Viewing 30 seconds of the Austrailian broadcast was enough to make me sick !

There are many reasons Extreme went down the shitter and he's definately one of them. It definately wasn't Nuno's playing ,that's for sure. I always thought Dave and Nuno would've been a great match up!
He's got a lot of funk, soul , fire and flash in his playing !

Hiring Ga y Cherone was just another one of many poor decisions
the sisters have made over the last 20 years. I'm sure the list will continue to grow if the sisters form of abstract logic continues as it has..........................

Dave is Van Halen and the whole world knows it !!!

Had the same reaction to Cherone joining VH in 1996 as I did with Hagar in 1985; this guy is an average singer, average frontman, average lyricist, and in no way brings anything special to the group.
