    Ed...He was as innovative as they come for many years...

        I think Eddie is a legend no doubt. Maybe the single most influential Guitarist that ever lived. Our negative comments are being fueled by the lack of production in current years. I think it is more frustration talking more then true feelings. It just sucks that you have the ultimate frontman and ultimate guitarist and they cant work there shit out. Eddie and Dave do not have to play a single note for the rest of there lives. So in the end the fans get it in the doody hole. I think eventually they will play together once again. Maybe 10 yars from now. Who Knows. I think eddie's health may prevent that from happening. So it has to happen sooner rather then later.

            David coverdale - fairly good voice but definatley one of the ugliest lead singers around!

            but when you say "oh yeah i love guns and roses!" people know your talkin bout the original lineup, but when you say "oh yeah i love Van Halen" normal people mighten have heard or seen vh before and then they do see or hear Van Hagar and think "He likes them!!!???"

            At least with gnR people know who your talkin about but with VH you have to educate them on the whole Roth/Hagar thing.

                Eddie Van Halen owes me nothing. Whenever I bought a ticket for a Van Halen show, he showed up and usually played great. Sure I would like more great music from that crazy, brilliant, bastard but for some reason he hasn't been putting out. Why? I have no idea. I don't know the guy and speculating is a waste of time.

                Eddie never stole money from me, he never fucked my wife, he never kicked my dog, or flashed my kids on the way to the school bus. Eddie has done nothing to me to hate the guy. He made some great albums with David Lee Roth when him and Dave were younger and on fire. Thank you! Would it be cool to see Ed and Dave do something again. Yes. Would it be as good as their work in the early days? Probably not even close.

                    I gotta agree with Nitro.

                    I don't really feel Eddie owes me anything. He is the reason why millions of people picked up a guitar and learned how to play. He inspired a generation of musicians and elevated rock guitar to a previously unknown level.

                    But...with that said, if he DOES owe his fans anything, it's a phone call to DLR. His biggest inspiration and greatest display of talent is inextricably linked to Roth. Somewhere deep inside he knows that.

                            It's not a question of what Eddie owes the fans. It is a question of what Eddie owes himself. He could be so much more if got off his ass. Perhaps nothing depresses EVH more than thinking about what he could have achieved versus what he actually did achieve. Assuming he is ever sober enough to actually think about things like that.
