This is how it works. The manager is responsible for marketing the band. Music videos is part of the promotional mix. The manager or record label contacts a production house that produces a video concept. A script, story board, shooting schedual are derrived. Actors hired. In most bands, their manager has schedualed them to be at the video shoot at such and such time. They show up and do their thing and then leave.

Hey, when I had my new office built, I met with the builder. I didn't bother to go around and introduce myself to all the sub contractors and workmen.

When people go on a production set, they usually deal with the director. Not every extra or hand on the set.

I dated a dancer and after we broke up I saw her at a Sammy concert on stage as one of the waborita girls who serves him drinks on stage during the show. The next time I saw her and asked her about it she said that Sammy never came over before or after the show to thank or meet them. They were kept kind of isolated from him. She did give props to Mike Anthony though.

I am not surprised. Sammy thinks he is a superstar and he doesn't have to bond with average people.

His loving fanbase of ugly fat chicks and overweight bald men gave him the wrong impression he's actually appreciated as a bold musician, and that boosted his ego immensely.

He already had a propension to think he's a better musician than any other else, even when he was an unknown nobody. Now he is just a known nobody.
