Plus without the Players, The Song Runnin' With The Devil would be none exsistent. Dave got inspired by The 'Players Song Runnin' From The Devil. So One of Van Halen most well known hits would not exsit if not for the 'players.

As for where Dave's screams come from... that one is easy. They come from the heart.

I think Dave has had a number of influences...but all the bits and pieces he has taken from all the different sources are just ingredients in the cake that was to become Dave... leave out the salt... the cake just ain't the same...leave out the sugar... same thing... but its not like you can just go pick up the same damn cake at the store. Nothing beats home cooking.

Dave has some GT's but nothing on the level of Paul Stanley, Gary Cherone or Flea. All those guys are probably one dick away from joining the rainbow coalition.

Enjoying the Ohio Players Funk music (which, By the Way, were a huge successful band during the 70's) - no one ever regarded them as being anything but very cool music - they were an original style of Funk. I have their albums, so does most people who graduated around 1976 era......

Ridiculous to think anything different than COOL.....

My very close "Gay" friend is an attorney in SF - he has alot of friends that frequent the NYC club scene and I asked him to find out about DLR and his answer was NO - he is not a wrist bender...........period.
