I think most of us here loved to listen to Howard Stern when he was cutting edge and pushing the envelope. The problem with Howard is what used to push the envelope is now old and boring. Everytime I tune in or watch him on E!, it's always the same. It's always some porn star answering Howard's immature, horny questions and taking her clothes off. You know, people can only go through so many years of that shit before it gets old as hell.

I think people are really getting hungry for legitimate talent and not gimmicks. Someone interesting. Dave is interesting, smart as hell, witty, well read. He should be great.

Naw, I think Howard is worried Diamond Dave is going to be a huge hit in major markets. Satalite radio is a niche market. It will never compare to being a popular radio personality on a nationally sindicated show.

Who intentionally listens to the radio? We listen at word, while working in the garage, while sitting by the pool, or driving to work. Sure you can do these things with satalite radio but most people aren't. Nope, the big radio stations are still huge and will still get the biggest piece of the pie. A pie Howard Stern no longer will enjoy and he knows it.
