Er, have you ever actually known someone who's an
alcoholic? Methinks if you have, you either know better
than to have typed something like that, or you just have
no idea what Ed van Halen needs. It's NOT a bunch
of "Yes-men", I'll tell ya that right now.

I know people who have been through MUCH worse health
challenges than what Ed's gone through, and who have been
through marital situations that were not of their own doing,
(and I fully believe Ed brought the sh** on himself.) The
people I know and I'm thinking of, have been through
hell. And they do NOT sit around acting like spoiled brats,
f***ed up on booze, pills, etc. all the time.

It's a choice Eddie makes every day. It's a choice all of
us make every day. We can sit around with our thumbs
in our bums and talk about what we wish woulda happened
and what we wanted to happen and how rough things are,
or we can get up and dance. The thing is, for most of us
here, our worries are probably more like, will we have enough
work to make the mortgage? If the car breaks down can
we afford to fix it? Will we be able to give our kids enough
THINGS that they're not living in poverty and enough SOUL
that they're not depraved twits? Most of us struggle for
things that Edward hasn't had to struggle for in a very very
long time. He has every reason to enjoy his life, as frankly
all of us do, but my point is that Edward van Halen has some
demons he needs to take more seriously than he seems to.
It's not funny that he's drunk all the time and has pissed away
one of the greatest talents the world has ever known.

As the old saying goes, "'Better a living dog
than a dead lion."

Or, as the Fuzzpudge said, "Right here," Edward, "Right now."

Get busy living EvH, cause 'seems like for a long long
time now, 'you been busy dyin'. (Just to throw in yet another
cheesy cliche for the grand finale.)

Ed's the difficult one. His wife could'nt take it and left him. He really needs to take care of his problems. I think Sam will end up leavin him too. And Mikey will be to scared to say anything he'll just keep a tight inventory on his Jack Bottles. I doubt even ed would touch Sam's Tequilla. I Doubt that Alex even Gives a Shit. Dave would not lie to ed and he would force some more greatness out of Ed if Ed would accept the truth and face his problems.

If DLR was chosen most of you guys wouldn't be hammering Ed so hard. You guys, including me, would be in heaven if DLR were back.

First off where did it say that it was all Ed's decision to not go with DLR?
All DLR is doing is playing all VH sets so just go see him in concert and forget about VH if it bothers you so much that Hagar is back.

Obviously, there are many factors as to why DLR wasn't chosen. His personality is probably the top reason. Whatever.

Not true. I honestly worry about the guy. Don't know EVH, but he has given me minimum six albums of amazing entertainment--and has the potential for even more--so I care.

As a human being, I hope he gets his shit together. His son is a month older than mine. It matters. Guys like EVH need some tough love.

If DLR was back, I'd want Ed to get his shit together even more because the potential would be even greater.

C'mon Man Ed is the one with the Personality Problems.....Have you even listened to the interview. DLR has a Rock star personality Something That would Benifit VH. Eddie has the personality of a Handicapped Alcholic Sea Pirate.
