Have you seen the VH tix prices?

I know the tour is selling out, but at $90 a pop? To add insult to injury Ticketmaster charges a $2 "Facility Charge" and the best of all an $11.50 "Convenience Charge" How the fuck is $103.50 a ticket "convenient"? According to my math that means that I won't be seeing VH any time soon. I've always been a Dave fan and have to admit I'm glad to see Eddie and Co. are still going strong, but I would only pay that to see a real VH reunion. With Gary of course. JK.

this tour is not selling out. not one single show has sold out. the ticket prices are outrageous, i have to wonder whoe would be stupid enough to pay good money to see those losers without roth. the truth is this tour would have been a complete sellout with roth but with sammy the ticket sales have been very disappointing. check out the tour dates on the van halen website, not 1 show sold out. they even tried trickery in what they thought were there strong markets st. louis, nj and vegas and added on an extra date the day after tickets went on sale to make people think tickets were in high demand and give the illusion this is a must see tour that is selling out everywhere. kind of funny that i just went to the first date of the st. louis shows and can get a block of 8 tickets in any price range, and they claim they had to add on another show due to ticket demand. the truth be told this tour is a flop and i am sure eddie and the boys and there management are very disappointed in the ticket sales. ha ha ha. serves them right.

I posted this same question over at vhlinks. Would you pay the amounts that they are asking for a Roth reunion?

Don't flame me cause I like both hagar and roth, but that's what I sense, that it's really not the price. I actually think the prices are quite reasonable.

I haven't been to too many concerts lately-1 in the past 4 years. So I don't really know what tix go for. I remember back in the day when we saw the real VH, I don't think my friends and I spent that much combined and that included weed and beer.

I wouldn't pay ten cents to see Sammy Hagar, let alone over $100.

Exactly, and this is coming from someone who's 18, so to hell with the whiny bitch excuse "Well I didn't grow up with Roth, I like Van Hagar because that's what I know"

Van HALEN is just that good, it overcomes generation gaps. It is very possible to get what Van HALEN was all about whether you're 18 or 48.

Good point. Just because someone didn't grow up with a certain musician doesn't mean they can't like them. I mean, I listen to the Beatles and so do a lot of other people my age!

Then why can't a lot of people around here seem to grasp that Van Halen was about having fun and not getting all wound up over stupid shit?

The whole point of Classic Van Halen is lost when everyone winds themselves up into a hatred over who the lead singer is. That's not fun. That's not what VH is about.

Was Gary "FUN"? Is Sammy "FUN"?

                            DAVE IS FUCKING FUN!!!!

I love everyone. I just know the difference between legitimate and force fed.

They aren't as fun to me as DLR used to be (and sometimes still is), but what do I care if someone else finds them fun?
