IS Dave drawing a cheque as an EMT?

I know Dave did the training, and I know he went out in the field, but was he actually drawing a cheque as an EMT? Anyone here work with Dave? Was the whole thing just a setup for a reality show that never aired?

Can anyone confirm this? Plus are there pictures of Dave in uniform?
