That's it? That's the fucking best you could come up with? That's your best insult. "Huh, huh, huh, those dudes are fags." Thanks Butthead.
If I could find that picture of you looking like a total fucking faggot (was on the Links about 2 years ago) I'd put that up and let it speak for itself. Until then, you'll just have to trust me on this one.
Which picture? Louie, I've seen you, please don't talk about looks at all. You are the goofiest looking fucker I've ever seen. Ever heard of showering? No wonder you'll never get laid.
Oh my band? Yeah that's real gay, taking a promo picture with your bandmates. LOL! Anyway Grizzly Adams, when you decide to finally shave that disgusting mess on your face and take a shower, and grow a personality, there's a good chance you'll make some man very happy one day sweetie.
Originally posted by Brett Schultz, when did you jump off the deep end?
No deep end. I'm only frustrated as hell about the direction of Van Halen. Sam had a golden opportunity a few years ago to reach out to the fans of early Van Halen but apparently he was either not smart enough or too insecure to do that. Van Halen - as a group - WAS a great band. People who congregate here are not necessarily huge fans of JUST David Lee Roth. I think most people here are fans of the whole group (with Roth) and this is a place to vent frustration about how the band, who asked people to accept them, to buy into what they were offering (Van Halen 78 - 84) at one time now say those who did and rejected what came later are no longer wanted as "fans".
What is with this new effort? Announce limited tour dates with very expensive tickets. Apparently embrace a total media blackout. Advertise the tour using Roth era tunes while stating that none will be played. The stupidity and selfishness being displayed is mind boggling.
Dude Van Halen general ticket prices aren't any higher than anyone else's though. The rest of your opnion is valid, but I wouldn't say VH is gouging fans anymore than any other band out there. In fact tickets are cheaper in some cases.
And people keep saying no Roth era tunes will be played, but I want to see the quote from any band member where that's been said. People keep attributing it to Sam on Howard Stern, but he never said that.
But why not lower tickets a little from the norm as a gesture to long suffering fans? Isn't this the band whose members keep claiming that they "ain't in it for the money" - ok if so why not use this tour to try to recapture old fans and bring in new? I mean the PR machine of this outfit is the definition of cluelessness and arrogance.
I thought Sam had said that they would not be playing Roth era tunes so I agree, I would like to see the actual quote. If he didn't say it, just what did he say regarding that subject? Sam butchers the hell out of those tunes and Cherone actually did a better job with them anyway.
I'm seeing Metallica Sunday in Madison - which sold out in 22 minutes. When was the last time Van Halen came to Madison? 1984. Metallica will play mostly older songs and a few new ones. Van Halen..?? Metallica calls the local radio and talks about the venue and the fans. Van Halen..? And Metallica has a lot more "controversy" to deal with in interview questions than Van Halen would - if any of them had the guts to do an interview every once in awhile. Van Halen at this point comes across as a bunch of crybaby money grubbers with little common sense, enthusiasm or tact.
Yeah, get me some tickets and reserve me a copy of that new best of............

It was 100.
The count was 100 "just like what happened to Great White" but I like your vision for upping it to a desired level of 1000 better.
- only we'd have to find 1000 people who would admit in public to being a hagar fan and this could take some coordination over several weeks.. but it could be done I guess.
