Hollywood Star For Dlr

The idea of giving a Star to "OUR STAR" (DLR) would be two-fold:

at least 600-700 army members contributing @ $25.00 each (or less - some of us can pick up the slack for others, whatever you can afford)

The Star costs $15K

Extra Proceeds left over from what we collect, if more than $15K - can be donated to DLR's favorite Charity....

We get DLR the STAR & We HELP a Worthy Cause that DLR feels good about!

We make SARGE come to Hollywood to be there when DLR accepts his STAR on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Our Two Hero's DLR & SARGE.

(I'll even contribute to Sarge's airfare....he's keeping us safe from the Enemy...it's the least I can do for an American Hero)

WHO's REALLY IN ON THIS? IT's going to be a Project that I'm willing to commit to and we really need to hear from those willing to Contribute. For Now...no money needs to be collected as we are trying to contact DLR's Management to let them know our idea.

If we get the OKAY from DLR's people....we need to know if we have 600+ ARMY Members who want to be a part of this historical project.


LOOK....MOTLEY CRUE is getting their STAR next year - it's already scheduled....

If MOTLEY CRUE Fans can do this.... DLR ARMY CAN succeed in getting this off the ground.

Well, instead of getting sarcastic with ya....I will say that I believe that VINCE NEIL was one of the first "SURREAL" Stars who is actually scheduled to receive his star w/MOTLEY CRUE next year!!!!

DLR will get it long before you can finish a bottle of that CABO crapola YOUR mentor likes to take credit for manufacturing....and probably getting sick on, along with YOUR other mentor's hot sauce.

There IS interest....it's not posted on this particular thread, but on the previous one it is, but I was hoping to keep the interest going so that I can get an address where to write to Matt Sencio - that's all I'm really looking for at this point.

Would like to raise the interest and excitement on this project, since Van Hagar already got a Rock Star on the Guitar Center's Walk of Fame.....

Why not go a notch above and get DLR one on the Hollywood WOF....what a slap in the face it would be to VH

OR Get one for the Classic Van Halen Group (I just wouldn't want to put DLR in the same MTV situation...it would be a recipe for disaster and no appreciation coming from the VH camp)

Okay, so why bother putting a damper on the idea? It's just a way to show our appreciation for the music DLR has given to us as well as a
"Thank You" for keeping the music alive with concert appearances, and get DLR cemented in Hollywood where legends are STARS!!!!!

You're not alone in your thinking....there are others as well as myself,

I'm moving forward on this idea along with some others from the ARMY.....we will either make it or not with collecting contributions, but since we're not at that point yet, I simply need to find an address to actually contacting DLR's management, preferably MATT SENCIO.

We need a letter of approval from DLR before we can proceed with our project.

I want to be a contributor to DLR's STAR...we'd be a part of the DLR History and he's more than earned it .

it would be nice to have a list of all the members who contributed on the site! we need a petition ( a legit one). i think that would be a great idea.

Besides, who did ROTH write his book for? An audience of ONE? Sure, Money is always involved with everything we do....so he makes a buck or two, but if he's got no audience or fan base to listen or have the desire to read his stories, than he would be "Just a Gigolo" - B U T - DLR wrote that book because he cared about the MUSIC & HIS FANS who love CVH.....

So I disagree that DLR doesn't give a *hit.
