People have a right to their opinion...Truth is, I could care if someone is a SHEEP. I'll articulately debate stuff as long as that person makes some decent points and shows a little respect...

Anybody can say what they want, I don't have a problem with that. What I am saying is that lately, all the new threads I see are coming from a new surge of SPAMMITES looking for love in all the wrong places over here.

I'd just like to do something positive in 2006 in the midst of all the crap about CVH v. Van Hagar and the fact that once again, CVH or VAN HALEN (however it is defined these days) is not being inducted or being recognized into the Rock n' Roll HOF.

DAVE, ED, AL & MIKE earned it, but I'm not wanting to see MTV Awards Part II - it would be a disaster and Ed would be incoherent.

SOOOOoooo, I'm wanting to spread the word of doing something positive for 2006 for DAVE, get some support.

I'm trying (with lack of help at the moment) of trying to obtain a way to contact DLR's Mgmt. for their YEAH or NEAH regarding this project....any extra we collect to be donated to DLR's favorite Charity..... that's all.

P.S. I'd love to say *ell, but I'm at work and it would be sensored....don't wanna set off any alarms.

Well listen up, babe! (just kidding) - Start paying attention to my threads for starters!!

...A STAR on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for our DAVE - he earned it and deserves it.....screw the others.

In short....DLR's mgmt. must approve the idea in written form and we have to submit the Letter along w/application. If he gets nominated, we have to collect $15K for the Star (in essence, it means that collecting $25.00 from 600 members and if we want to collect anything above that, we can give proceeds to DLR's favorite charity to make this all worth the cause of doing.)

It's all GOOD. It's okay if you would rather not, but I hope you would want to be a part of it

BTW....Motley Crue's fans are doing this for them....they've already raised the funds and MC is scheduled to receive their star in 2006. Surely DAVE deserves it more than this band...in fact, I'm sure that DAVE and CVH has been their inspiration...

I would love nothing more than to see DLR get this recognition.....then I can RIP....

How queer. If Dave wants a star he can buy it himself. The whole concept of having to buy your way onto the walk of fame is fucking stupid to begin with.

That's cool. I don't expect everyone to want to participate.

It would be even more queer if Dave purchased it himself....most would not respect that...it would be like he's a legend in his own mind kinda thinkin...if you know what I mean.

The whole idea of a STAR is to be from the Fans and Record Companies as a "HONOR" and a "PRIVILEDGE" - not something that you can easily buy - if that were the case, it wouldn't be special at all trying to earn it and I'd go buy one for myself!

It's like an Award....Why earn an OSCAR if you can go buy it instead?

i wouldn't call it non supportive...but i don't think DLR will be as honored as some people may think, and i also have a problem with putting money toward something that i'm not gonna get anything out of, especially when it has to do with a celebrity.

You might be right about Dave not being that honored ??

BUT WHY the heck wouldn't you think that DLR wouldn't be honored that his fans are still out there recognizing what he brought to us musically and thru entertainment and keeping CVH Music Alive by touring ?

It's so much more than EVH & AVH are doing for us.

The walk of fame is for actors, an induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (which Van Halen was again passed over for) would be far more fitting. Don'tcha think?
