DAVE's lyrics are much more cinematic & developed than Spam's.....

Like shakespeare as compared to Archie comics....

Spam hasn't written anything even remotely as evolved as "Secrets"....

I'm quite sure Desmond Child and/or Ted Nugent helped Spam with his writing during the van hagar days.....he hasn't written anything quite so cheesy since...not that anybody knows any songs off "Marching to Mars" or.......what else has he recorded in the last 10 years? Doesn't matter....he's always been an inferior talent......

Or...as BLENDER magazine put it when reviewing his last greatest hits package(an oxymoron?)......"A 30+ year career totaly devoid of talent".

    Exactly, exactly

Recently saw a review comparing a Sammy lyric to some of Walt Whitmann`s writings. Anyhow, Sam & Dave are both great writers in their own way.

(Oh oh oh oh) Yeah, you can feel it
(Oh oh oh oh) Oh, when it's love
(Oh oh oh oh) When nothin's missing, ow!
How do I know when it's love?
I can't tell you but it lasts forever
Ooh, how does it feel when it' love?
It's just something you feel together, hey!
How do I know when it's love?
I can't tell you but it lasts forever
          When it's love
          Ooh, when it's love
          Hey! It'll last forever
          (Na na na-ah na na)

That must mean, what the fuck is with those lame ass lyrics....
"Hear that O.F.? If old school Army gals with solid track records of contribution choose to bless us with their tits, ass, vagina, or just sexy eye shots, leave them be (at least until I've had a chance to rub one out)..."
              That is all.

If Ed had any sense they should`ve raided their old "listen to this, Gene" demo. Some choice material there; She`s the woman, Let`s get rockin` and Big Trouble too name a few.
Granted I would prefer if Dave sang those tunes, but just imagine what a different impact the Van Hagar reunion would`ve had if those gems had been cut again with Sammy and the boys.
                Well, too late now..

Dude I highly recomend that you visit an otologist and get that big ball of wax removed from your ears. Sure everyone is entitled to thier opinion, yours is simply erronious in this instance.

You do realize that you have forever tarnished you time here, right?

But that's not too surprising, considering you are a Class-A Red Rockin' Spammy glory hole.

Not getting enough attention over at the Links with the other worbita fags, so you figure you would be 'original' and come over here and try to stir the shit. Come on man, this routine is as old as your granny's wrinkled poon.

Where? On Spammy's Website?!? I'd like to see a link to that...

NOBODY is foolish enough to compare Spam's lyrics to Walt Whitmann's....Hell, Slim Whitmann wrote better lyrics!!!

Spam is a hack....which is why the only hit he's had since "I Cun't Drive 55" was that re-writing of "ROCK "n" Roll Pt.1" by Gary Glitter.....Who I'm sure has a LOT in common with the Spam-man

This Solbakken dude just ain't on my wavelength.

Personally never had any hopes for anything worthwhile to come outta Van Hagar in 2004, since why would it? Nothing they did from 1985 to 1996 was worth a damn.

And since they couldn't come up with anything decent, therefore they should have taken old CVH demos and had Sammy singing them? Fuck that shit. If Ed and Al don't wanna play with Dave, then they shouldn't be able to reap any benefits from his past contributions. That goes the same live, too.

Let Van Hagar rise or fall on their own merit. Fuck letting them coast along on what Dave and the boys built.

See Army...this is what happens. You have a talented frontman like Roth who has great chemestry with an amazing band...they sell millions of albums..rocks everyones world...you know the rest. The frontman bails (for reasons I completely understand) and they bring in this clown named Sammy who brings his SOFT SIDE to what used to be one of the GREATEST rock bands of ALL times, and what happens? SAMMY FANS ARE BORN. You know the type. Likes a heavy song with sissy lyrics. The next thing you know the SAMMY FANS START SPEAKING saying shit about the first 6 albums...immature music...ect. WHEN THE TRUTH IS THAT VAN HALEN WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN VAN HALEN IF IT WASNT FOR DAVID...but what the fuck do I know. I'm a duck.
