    Eddie in Beat It

    I don't know if this is my imagination or did I read it somewhere? Was there a backstory about the non-apppearance of EVH in Michael Jackson's "Beat It" vid? Just think.If Ed did do the video, think about the impact that would have made. The dude went into the studio and did two takes of the solo and then let Quincy Jones take his pick. Legendary.

    Wasn't there a scheduling snaggle or contractual reasons for him not being the the video?

          Why would he want to be in a video with a Pedophile??

          Ed didn't want his good name and legendary status tarnished.

          Who knows? Ed was probably scared of this "Surigically Mutilated" Jacko (as ROTH describes in his book) trying to hit on him.

                                  I was thinking the same thing, I downloaded the video to see if they had Ed in thre as like a gang member or something, Nope he's not in there. In the parody version by Weird Al "Eat it' you can see Rick Deringer in the video who played Guitar on his version for like a couple seconds,
