I fell in love in 1979 with Diamond Dave. I sang with him this past September and goo-ed my panties for six hours afterwards. I'm on the downward spiral to 40, but only Dave makes me feel like a little girlie again. However, I must confess...
In 1984, VH toured. Never (as it seems) to return again with The Rothness. Couldn't go. BUMMED OUT. Then the band broke up. Have seen Dave many times, including with Sammy when they opened their tour here. I swore I would never, EVER, go see VH without David. I have broken my promise. I have to see Edward play. I have to see Michael pound the F*CK out of that bass, and who else has the kit that Alex has...even though it has been 5 years since he has used it on a regular basis. I am a traitor.
Dear Diamond Dave: All your interviews I still have (the Rialto Theater story and Elaine from Tahiti) are still golden within my heart. However, it is clear, that Eddie will never get over being an asshole enough to have the greatest rock and roll reunion tour EVER. Although I am going to the show here in Cleveland, it did not sell out. If you were heading it up, it would.
