    Why is it cheesy?

He plays his own stuff in concert. Why not on his own radio show?

        I agree with BFS here.

The songs he plays are from his personal record collection...it's like a window into the foundation of where his music comes from...
Maybe this is what a heroine addict feels like after getting a long awaited fix, shooting up in the corner of some abandoned building and just not giving a fuck about what the rest of the world thinks...TATTOO"

Well, if he's going to do that, then play something decent, like Marvin Gaye or something.

Well it's not just for VH fans...he's looking at bringing a much wider audience. In concert he is promoting music, but this is something much different for him.

Even if he did...how long could he get away with it without repeating himself? And it would annoy people who don't like his music, but are digging the radio show.

I'm listening now...."sounds the way Angelina Jolie looks" (Brian playing a solo)

            :D

AWB and Rawls are VERY close!

Alot of it I'm not familar with though...

But Dave playing CVH on his radio show would kinda be like my friend Sixpack said....."like the dude who wears the AC/DC T-shirt to the AC/DC concert...we know, we know!"

Alot to get yourself used to! There are a lot of DJ's that have "interns" to do the bottons! Maybe DAVE is just settling in and is drawing us a visual of everything that is going on! If he wasn't saying Hutch turn it up! would we be sitting here talking about it? Now we even know who's runnin' th' buttons! If I was making that money I'd be telling someone to push buttons too! Maybe let everyone know I had someone pushing my buttons for me! DAVE jumped in a seat of a BIG TRAIN thaat's already rollin' along at about MACH 5 and there are millions, scratch that ... a handful of trolls out there working hard to derail him and he is gaining contorl as we speak! Brakes are gone ... just the way DAVE likes it!

Absolutely! And people who have never HEARD his music I bet!

                    8 to 10 million?

Exactly...remember in the book? Talking about it at breakfast the next day...exactly.

How many people listen to Dave's show in the US?

Some people like to have music playing 24-7 some don't! Me my radio is always playing at least low enough to hear it even when the TV is on. Helps smooth out the dull spots!

I read 8 to 10 million on this site somewhere, but not exactly certain how credible that is.

There was an article a few weeks ago, I forget where, but it was mentioned that Dave would be doing the entire show standing up.

They installed 10 by 10 ft parquet floor for him to pace on during the show, so I guess Dave isn't anywhere near the board to run it himself.

Also, did you ever hear the February 1984 Rockline with Roth and Alex? The way Dave riffed along with the music (the music volume would go up and down with PERFECT timing) was awesome. Maybe he is trying to re-create the same effect.
There was a couple times today that Hutch anticipated and got it right, and it WAS cool. It will all come together eventually.

I heard Rockline at the time, but never a recording. Where can I get that? :D
