Roth Radio died today. the numbers, if the format is kept like this, will surely be lower than what they were previously and then maybe Dave will be able to go to being DAVE!!!!

Think of Dave's acquired radio fans seeing him get treated like this and..do you really think anybody is going to give Freeradio a chance after he is gone knowing how poor the judgement of a scrambling bumbling management is handling their talent?

They're making him into everything he has rebelled against since day one.

All this press he's gotten this week will have people tuning in to hear this...complete with depression commercials.

his ratings went up and he got suspended. what sense does this make besides none?

One good thing is that Dave stays on topic now when he is talking. He is less distracted. I have always loved hearing what he has to say and now we will get his thoughts and opinions with out all the background noise, the sounds, the laughter, etc.

Actually dave's ratings went up in one age demographic (1.3-1.7) but overall he went down from about 75,000 listeners from the first report to 32,000 listeners overall from Sterns 287,000 in NYC in the new arbitrends. CBS tried to put a postive spin on it.

I think we have every reason to stay positive about DAVE......not the Radio gig. I, too, agree with you DG, and am sick regarding this new format, but Dave has explained himself, made it clear since this is the last 1/2 hour of the show and I do believe his lawyers have informed him that as long as he ends up getting terminated, rather than quitting, he'll get some kind of severance from his contract so that he can maintain his payroll for Animal, B-Young & Matt Sencio.

TODAY's SHOW IS WORTHY of a LONG STANDING OVATION FOR DAVE'S PART for taking the heat and as sad as he is, he's being responsible and loyal to the ones who where loyal to him and moved their lives to NYC along with him. I also feel he's being REAL to his Fans. He's not broken, just extremely disappointed.

If Dave succeeds in this format then he would prove CBS right. It makes for an interesting dynamic. Will Dave give it his best shot? Given his personality I am not so sure. He is disppointed that he did not win but will he continue to self-destruct? We are getting some insight into the Dave psyche and maybe some insight into why DLR and the sisters or DLR with anybody just seems to implode. Dave does not like to give in or lose whether he is right or wrong.. to dave he is always right....

Dave is right in this case.

Dave was given carte blanche to do what ever he wants on the show

it was a HUGE part of why he took the gig, he told us that many times

The ultimate FUCK YOU is that they broke him, set him up today for breach of contract (insubordination) and send him on his way. If not then Dave have one fucked-up weekend ahead of him. He was basically humiliated. His big balls were shrunk on national radio by the same assholes who fucked howard stern after he made them all that money. Yet Dave could have been smarter about this. But instead he went BALLS TO THE WALL... and then,,,SQUISH

Carte Blanche according to Roth. But dave also promised alot to CBS and his fans with regard to the show. He has not delivered and it is not all CBS's problem. Being a rock and roll artist dave thought he could wing it... no so in radio. We all have to be honest here.

I'm tempted to send a letter via Fed Ex to CBS to tell them without using bad language - show them that us RothTards have class and intelligence and get our point across without obscenities. I want them to know how we feel. Without us listeners, their station makes no money. Without Roth, thre is no Van Halen....
