I was just listening to the last hour of Friday's show where Dave played his new version of Jump. What did you all think? I'm surprised no one mentioned it. The music is definitely different, but the vocals were not a big departure from the original. It was OK, not awesome. I'm more interested to hear Jamie's Cryin'. He thinks that may be a single, so he said he probably won't gives a sneak preview of that.

He's defintely excited about the album. I'm not exactly sure who the audience is going to be, however. Will rock fans buy some of the greatest music ever re-recorded as country songs? Or will it become big in country music circles? I think it will flop. I'm glad that he'll doing the late night talk show circuit. Seeing the man live and in the public eye will be terrific.

I'll be buying the CD when it's released. I've liked the fragments he's played on the show the past few days. Panama sounded pretty good.

maybe he counts on the die-hard CVH fans who also bought the BO-albums...it could at least get above 100.000 copies...

I'll buy one for sure...and it would be great to see dave with some hilly billies doin that stuff live in front of our naked steeming eyes with a big smile...

FYI...Dave is doing a gig on Thursday and giving the proceeds to charity, and he said that CNN and Fox News will be covering it. Watch the news!

I think this is a great idea to bring positive publicity to him and the radio show. He says he will keep doing this. He is charging these dudes 10 grand just to sing Jump at this party. Prices will vary depending on who you are.

He's mentioned it several times. Hope it happens. He also said Oprah though, and you know that's not going to happen. I'd piss my pants if he was on Oprah. :D

He's been saying that his appearances on the talk shows will be to support the country music CD which is slated for a release next month. I'd say he'd be making his visits sometime in the next 3 to 6 weeks.

I want to see him on The Daily Show, since it's really the only late-night show I watch now.
