DLR working for CBS... any hope Sony Music could distribute his catalogue?

DLR in CBS's books... What if Sony music bought his solo catalogue back? I know that the old CBS catalogue has been under Sony's label for years, and I don't think that CBS has anything to do with Sony, but well, who knows, maybe there could be some way...

I mean, EEAS, Skyscraper and why not even the EP (enriched with bonus tracks, why not dream a little) really need CD remastering, so being endorsed by Sony would make it for that matter, wouldn't it?
Besides, Dave's past solo stuff would be incomparably more avoidable, not to mention his next effort.
But then again, CBS and Sony are different companies, but...

    What's your opinion?

I'm actually surprised Rhino hasn't re-released Dave's back catalog yet.

The Rhino remasters usually contain some bonus tracks. Imagine a remastered "Eat Em and Smile" with the entire "Sonrisa Salvaje" album as a bonus.

Great idea! Rhino would be the perfect label, as they've been releasing awesome reissues. But I ignore how such things as a label buying back an artist's catalogue can be contracted. Must be a record company, willing to "own" it, that bids an offer to the artist's current label...
Rhino is very widely distributed - even in France: that says a lot! :D
Something's got to be done with Dave's first two albums, anyway.
