What if Dave records a original album with current line up

Think Dave pretty much tried to go this route with the DLR Band 1998 release. Totally think that was a conscious effort to make a CVH-sounding disc, and it did capture and recreate some of the feeling found on the 6-pack albums, but without the chemistry of the classic four, Dave's only gonna get so close to it...not that it wouldn't be possible to make a bitchin' rock album in its own right.
Plus, Dave's gonna need to look elsewhere for songs, 'cuz one thing the Diamond Dave cd demonstrated is that Young ain't no tunesmith!
At this point, Dave solo-wise could theoretically put out something as slamming as EEAS was and it's only gonna sell around 100,000. You'll buy it, I'll buy it as probably will the rest of Dave's hardcore fanbase, but the majority of 14-25 year olds who make up the biggest demo of record buyers just don't care about Roth. Way it is.
Shit, I have doubts a new CVH album would do much more than a couple of mill in sales at best.Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment

The DLR Band Disc is in the truck right now.
That disc made me excited again.
And I didn’t get it until 2 years after it came out.
Man, I was disappointed with the DD disc.
If a second DLR Band disc had included 2 off of the DD disc, the chemistry of the classic four would not be in the conversation.
I wish we knew what Brian Young could come up with.
Who gives a shit about who would buy a new CVH.
I know what would be in my player!
Roth on!
