Should Dave get money for /from (Van Hagar tunes) cause he was Van Halen.?

(I understand the concept of equal pay on the CVH set if Dave get's
ripped off he should be, Irate with some control.)

-as in -I Dave- was at the conception of VH, VH was my name, I produced money as equal
partner of the -Corp.VH- if the name continues- I Dave -should get
a cut of the profits of VH whatever it is t-shirts whatever.
Even if i 'm no longer in the Band. Even if I am not in the Band.Not only the CVH Merchandise but a % of all things VH..?

Does the Music Industry have a No- Compete clause..
....(.If you quit the band you cant sing or create Rock (whatever type of music )for lets say 3 yrs)..As in you can sing country but not rock..?
This is done in business all the time..

If Ed, Mike and Alex hire a new singer lets say Who ever.If they change
the Name I understand....If the band continues w/The same name..

I suppose its all in the way the Original contracts were written.

Another twist if Gene Simmons discovered,? VH is he still getting paid
because the name is still pulling revenues Sam and Gary catalog

He's done it musically for the better part of 20 years, the last few strictly of the physical variety.

I am sure the band dissolved their business arrangements years ago via settlement, buying Dave out of his share of the VH band name.

I disagree with ya. Can't get this stuff no more and Me Wise Magic absolutely rocked. Makes me wonder whether they just dug through the vaults and those two songs were outakes from 1984 or something.

Actually Dave took VH to court because apparently warner increased the band's percentage but VH failed to give dave his cut so Roth took'em to court so he is still receiving royalties from past recordings
