What Dave needs to stay away from though are stupid fart jokes, throwing stuff on naked girls, telling lame jokes with the forced laughter from the background, ect. I think that type of morning radio show has been done to death and was a reason Stern was getting really stale.

I agree and disagree..It's not really DLR's style to slam people ala Stern, so he should stay away from that stuff..Being DLR is what will make the show great...He should hawever avoid all the things you listed, as those are just played out lame ass radio bits.

DG...I totally agree that this is a great thread. I miscommunicated and meant that there are a few stragglers who are leaving posts on threads like this one with crazy statements, which I suppose is why FlyingDutchman was alittle irate at one of the posters...and I was backing his thoughts up.

I've been thinking alot about his show today.....did you notice that once caller DID ask why we must hear about "Paris Hilton" so much? I wondered if it was someone from the ARMY.

Here's my thoughts (which I was going to EMAIL to the Studio to AL DUKES attention - he's the Radio Producer):

IF we must hear about Ms. "Celebritard" Hilton from the "Page 6" - let's discuss how Angelina Jolie (a "Celebrity Child" herself) and how she is making a difference in this world by donating a portion of her salary towards Children of Third World Countries; DLR himself was touched by the story of terminally ill child, Ashley Abernathy and donated his time/effort to write a song/record it for her;
What has Paris Hilton done to promote world peace or anything meaningful to society lately? Other than glamorize putting the "Taco Bell" Puppy on her arm like a fashion statement ?

For her efforts, not only does she not belong on Page 6, she does not deserve radio time and free advertisement and most of all, she doesn't belong in DLR's sleeping bag.....She would be a huge notch backwards in the sack!!
