My inside source say Spammy tried to release his autobiography "Crazy from the meat", that describes only his finest moments at the buffet table, years ago. The book was never published, it would have had 27064 pages of very specific real life stories about the master of fork and knife himself.

    What a shame.

It's a very fun read and an interesting look at Dave's life told by him, and I find it amazing that there are those on this site that haven't read it who claim to be DLR diehards. There's no excuse to not have read it, it's not like reading "War And Peace" or something.

Yesss...I agree. And there are some stories in the book that can never be found in the interviews etc...

It's a book that keeps getting better and better every time I read it even though it's been out for years, and I've read every word hundreds of times.. Literally I read some of it every day........You're not a hard core Rothaholic till you've read the Bible.

I did not know he even wrote a dang book until I joined this site. Then I decided to try and find the book...Can't order, can't get it in used book stores, can you believe its not even in the local library? I was finally able to purchase a copy off of e-bay. I am still waiting to receive it and then I will be able to comment.

                  Read it of course.

Don't you think Huck Finn should be required reading for those on this site too??
