I said that this was the final nail in the coffin of a once proud band.
Its over...if they do this...put a fork in em.
I told Dave that this is why we all still go out and see him live 5 times every summer. He still has the same intensity on stage that he's had his whole career and that HE is the only peice of Van Halen that the fans have left.
As long as we have DLR.....he can carry the VH torch,like he has been for 21 years.Comment

Thank god you told him that we support the hell out of him and go to his shows for this. I'm going to email him at the station to show my support....I know this deeply hurts him.

is it an American Idol type deal or
an Osbourne thing where Ed will Ozzy it up for the camera?

He also spoke of the fact that until they do it....nobody is interested in anything that VH or Dave himself puts out musically. They want their youth back...not the band, but the fans..and they can't give that back until they get it together. He spoke of the 2000-2001 5 song demo that he did with them. Again, that the MAGIC was captured on those songs...that they sound as intense as Van Halen 1.
He sounded as puzzled by this as we all are.Comment
