Shit, far as reuniting, Roth's been calling out the Van Halens in print and on tv ever since 1996. Read any of his interviews from 1997, 1998 or 2003 and view his sporatic appearances on MTV/VH1 in 1997 and 2003; the dude has been ready to go for a decade now. What he's saying on his radio show is nothing new.

Probably took the radio gig just to keep things moving along and keep it interesting; we all know Roth ain't gonna sit around and twiddle his thumbs waiting for Ed, Al and the bass player to pull their heads out of their asses.

Dunno about jaded, as I'll still be more than a little curious to see what they do SHOULD CVH reunite (even though part of me DOESN'T want it to happen anymore if only because it might not live up to expectations...and seeing CVH reunite and do a tour-by-numbers cash grab with an oldies-only setlist would be fucking bogus. EVERY other fucking group does that predicatble shit, and if CVH aren't able to get back together and produce some killer NEW material then they shouldn't even fucking bother), but...

...how fucking excited are we supposed to get about Dave wanting to get back with Van Halen? We KNOW that already, just as we know what Dave wants isn't the pivot point of the whole thing happening or not.

It's up to Ed and Al, and those two have showed no signs of giving a shit about what the majority of people who dig Van Halen want. They do as they please to please themselves, so why get all hyped about it?

When it happens, THAT'S the time to get psyched about it.
