    What If?

    What if...

they got Vai, Sheehan and Bissonette...

what if the EEAS band did this...

would they catch as much hell as the Chirellas?

        No...it was a hypothetical...

some people are saying a "Super Group" rockstar...so I got to thinking of ridiculous things...

and this popped into my head...

I was just curious if others thought this was as flat ass ridiculous as VH doing it...

        or not...

as I ponder this more and more...

I could see a "supergroup" rockstar...

or a lead singer hunting for a band rockstar...

before any shit band (oldass Chirellas included)...

but my question here is...what if out of nowhere...Vai, Sheehan and Bissonette were the band...

would it be relevant...or just as big a joke as the Chirellas?

if you're looking for a band more out of the public eye than VH, then Vai/Sheehan/Bissonette is a good choice. :D

i don't trust Vai's taste in singers. that Devin Townsend that sang on Sex and Religion stunk.

Most people don't know who Steve Vai is either...

It would be like, who ??

I personally have no idea what all the hoopla was about Steve Vai...

I'm a guitarist and I swear I've never been able to listen to a Steve Vai song un-interrupted from start to finish...

SRV is the only guitarist to really attract the ear of the general public, and I think the albums he released are pretty lame also...

At least I can name some of the tunes, though...

Whistle me a Steve Vai tune...

                I could...

kinda tough to translate here though...

I'm not a fan of Steve Vai's, either...frankly, I'd like EEAS and Skyscraper a LOT better with a different guitarist...Vai's work/solos bore the shit out of me (at very best) and annoy the shit out of me usually...

Supergroup Rockstar would be kinda stupid, I think...IMO...about as dumb as the whole concept of Rockstar already is, only worse...I think it'd appeal to musicians, sure, but to the common viewing public, I think the concept would be lost.

Stop the presses, ELVIS and I agree on something. I always thought VAI a bit overrated...

He's a good guitarist no doubt, but his tone is one of a wanking Jazz player, it just doesn't fit into a rock sound.

I don't think it would be relevant at all, especially to the Gen Y demographic. (God I sound like a friggin' TV consultant)

Anyway - IMO the only people who even know who Vai, Sheehan, and Bissonette are (aside from the guitar geeks) are the die hard card carrying members of the Army.

But it's an interesting idea POJ. I'll give you that.
