While you're right on all accounts about why the teeth are creeping us all out, I think the largest part of Edward's problem is his ego.

That big prideful chip of "I'm the greatest guitarist" is causing him to not believe that he's got work to do.

Sitting on your ass is probably the most damaging thing you can do for your health.

I wonder if he's got a throne in his house...

Being reclusive leads to this behavior for whatever reason.

Cave man syndrome and Ed is also a Brilliant man and he may
have so many things in his head, Much like einstein couldn't
or -------Chose-------- not to wear matching shoes ,change clothes for weeks,

I really believe Dave can save Ed.

With Dave being from a medical family and himself working as an EMT, Dave is Ed's only hope.

My guess is that he tried to reach out to Ed but Alice butted in.

That's why he always seems pissed at Eddie for 'wasted time' and referring to him as "Sly Stone", etc.

Looks more like 1991-92.

By '97, Edward wasn't even playing the Music Man anymore, since he switched to Peavy.
