Maybe this is what a heroine addict feels like after getting a long awaited fix, shooting up in the corner of some abandoned building and just not giving a fuck about what the rest of the world thinks...TATTOO"

That's either malmsteen or that other guy who was a virtuoso classical pianist turned 80's metal guitar freak, I forget his name, but this sounds just like him. OR it sounds like malmsteen.
You're more brain dead than the rest of these idiots if you think that sounds like Yngwie...

the scales are wrong, the phrasing is wrong, and the tone is wrong to be evh. besides, ed's tapping, back then anyway, was way more clean and fluent. sounds like a neo-classical piece. ill agree with the time frame of it being recorded in 1984, but just not by evh. thats just my opinion. it is cool though!

It's not Tony McAlpine either...
I've just listened to this clip again, and there's no way this is Ed, Yngwie, or Tony... The phrasing, the tone, the lines that are used are definately none of the above... I've been playing Ed's licks since 1978, and Ed doesn't even KNOW the licks used on this clip. Yngwie and Tony are WAY too clean for this too... Yngwie would've just played a million miles an hour, and Tony would've done sweep arpeggios left and right... I still say it's Either Carl Verheyven, or someone who thinks he's him... maybe the radio station announced it as Ed, but I smell a hoax.
