I think it is possible for it to be EVH. Just because he doesn't do all of his "signature" tricks in there doesn't mean anything. This sounds as though it is a thought out guitar piece, as opposed to Eruption, which had some thought out parts, but was improvised as he went too.

The tone...well it sounds kind of like Ed's tone from the Wild Life soundtrack. Definitely a humbucker, so that rules out Yngwie. There's a bend that did remind me of "Respect The Wind" like it did some others. I've heard stories of Ed playing things like this just goofing off, but who knows.

Surely there is some way to find out for sure if this is EVH.

The copy I posted is one I gave to a friend. He cut out the intro of DJ and the last few seconds of solo because he looped the track to play 5 times in a row.

Don't think so. Must be some other Bo Roberts. KISW isn't mentioned anywhere in this guy's bio, nor is the late KXRX (which is the first place most of the old KISW staff migrated to)

Nope. This is the same guy in the bio. Can't be KISW's Bo Roberts, because you can't be in Texas or New Orleans and Seattle at the same time.
