Later, Roth and the band are in the bus with some groupies and Dave quips, "There goes Sammy banging on the window again with a bottle of tequila in one hand and his dick in the other."
Roth, predictably, had all the memorable quotes. All Sammy could do was moan about how he didn't like Dave and how he saved Dave's ass by doing the tour with him. Gee, I don't remember Sammy selling out any arenas after he left Van Hagar.Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment

shit...lol Ive never seen that one. I remember reading an interview with Sam, where he says that. "Roth called me. If it wasn't for me, he(Dave) wouldn't have made any money this year." He was also saying that his "agent" told him it would be good publicity to tour with Roth, even though Sammy really didn't want to do it. Yeah what ever buddy. You knew you were damn if you do, and if you dont there. #1, if Sam says no thanks. Then Dave can say Sam was a chicken shit... #2 If Sam says yes, he risks being pummled by leigons of Van Halen fans and of course look like shit next to Roth. We all know which version happened. :D That's why Sam made such a big deal about needing to headline. Sammy's little ego. To hear Sammy tell it, he was the one who suggested it to Dave in 1997, and Dave passed. Funny how he backpedals later by saying he really didn't want to do it.
Mike Anthony was saying the same bullshit in 1996 after the classic reunion fell through, about not wanting to get back together with Dave, etc., yet that didn't stop him from playing on the two new tracks and getting onstage with him at the VMA's.Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment
