I remember reading some shit where Jennifer Batten said she got to play Eddie's 5150 Kramer when he showed up at a Jacko show to play on Beat It....said it was a total piece of shit. Fucked-up action, broken pieces, etc.

That was in July '84 at Texas Stadium. VH was in town to play 3 sold out shows at Reunion arena. I was at one of those, I think it was the middle one. The Jackson's tour was in town at the same time. I had read somewhere that Dave was also at that Jackson's show, he and his entourage was walking the field of Texas Stadium, scoping out the crowd. He has his action set twice as high as i like it, there was no butter feeling to it at all....I guess to call it a coffee table without legs would be pretty accurate.
The fine tuners were bent and the finish was worn to the wood in several spots.
It was a total piece of shit, but it did stay in tune like no other guitar i've ever played.
You could dive the bar and hold it down for an hour, pop it back up and still be tuned.
He had more of those Kramers than i ever knew he had, that's for sure.
