New here, tryin to catch up... Fair Warning is my favorite VH album, but VH III is a very close second. Never got to see/hear them live, but always wanted to hear "Mean Street" live. To me, they fade the song just as Eddie is getting started.

Fair Warning was my first Van Halen album, and to this day still my favorite. It's so cool that so many here said the same thing.
I remember spinning the album slowly by hand on the turn-table with my ear held close to try and figure out the Mean-Street tap, and also on a stereo that played at half-speed, hehe, and playing Unchained over and over......I can never get enough of hearing the intro to this day...Push comes to Shove, Hear about it Later, So This Is Love...all the best songs ever written IMO.

Fair Warning has become my favourite VH album. And my favourite track? Probably............Push Comes to Shove (I think Dweezil Zappa cites Eddie's solo in this as his greatest influence), followed by Hear About it Later. I also think One Foot Out the Door is awesome. Eddie just goes sick with that solo.

And the art work on the cover left you in no doubt what to expect. Imagine what parents back then would have thought when their kids came home with that under their arm. A dangerous band alright!
