Radio station today plays RWTD. Then the dj gets on and says, "Speaking of Van Halen, Sammy Hagar is coming to town. Mike Anthony will be there, along with bodybuilders, girls and tequila. Hard rocks Jimmy Buffett with his Cabo Wabo Rock Beach Party", or some such shit...kinda reminds me of the 2004 tour radio spots down here which were 75% CVH tunes in the background, and the voice-over announcer would say "Van Halen...Eddie...Alex...Mike...and Sammy"

My wife wants to see a rock concert this summer, and she's narrowed her choices down to this show and Def Leppard/Journey.

I don't have to think long and hard to make this decision, but it's kinda like getting your driver's license and being told you can choose between a Pinto and a Gremlin. Even so, I'd rather see fake Journey on their worst night than Hagar playing his best gig ever (wow, that's probably one of the worst Sammy put-downs I've seen at this site, and that is SAYING SOMETHING for this place!)

She DID enjoy seeing Dave at the St.Pete Ribfest last fall a lot more than she thought she would (my woman was singing along with every song just like the rest of us, then afterwards said "I didn't realize I knew so many of his tunes!"), and she wants to see him play again, so I'm hoping Dave will hit road soon and come to the Orlando Hard Rock.

Dave opened @ The Dave & Sam show here....just a bunch of speakers and the band.

I remember watching them set up the short bus bleachers for sam's set, and then filling 'em with a bunch of dumbasses. I'm not kidding, it looked like someone went to Applebees' and just loaded all the potato doonie dipshits' on a bus and emptied 'em into those fucking bleachers. They set the stage up like some kind of fake plastic cantina and shit.....fucking horrible.

I stayed long enough to watch those fuckers' clap along like trained fucking seals.....Dave Chapelle was playing an X-pensive BC Rich and sam was running around like a jilted pomeranian fresh out of the neutering clinic.

Point is, it took all that mind numbing schlockery to hang with the bunch of speakers and the band deal.

Fuck Cabo Wabo.

Concentrate on why less people bought the Diamond Dave album than there are registered users of this site. Try starting a campaign to get every Roth Army user to buy it. Support Dave and quit wasting your time & effort with what has essentially become a non-entity.

I was assaulted by a full-page ad for Spambo The Flatulent's upcoming show here in Gnashville. I don't recall the date, but then I care so little all I have to say it is a fucking irritant to turn the page of the local entertainment rag to find his fat, klown-like visage grinning back at me....

God damn....I want him to go away.

Perhaps it would be fun to go park in the Amphitheater parking lot and walk around with a sandwich board saying "Spambo The Flatulent Sucks Ass".
