Let's face it, the VH Bros. should release a box set of unreleased rarities like interviews, live concerts on DVDs, unreleased studio tracks all bunched together with the first 6 CDs, all remastered.

Then they should release all of the instrumentals that they recorded while with Hagarita.

That would truly be a complete BOV 1 & 2.

I am not going to buy this cd if it is just a greatest hits. I would only buy it if new Dave songs were on it. The nerve of the Van Halen camp.

Only thing that got me to buy Best Of Vol 1 were the two new Dave songs. If they weren't on it, I wouldn't have bothered.

BOV2 looks like it won't even have that novelty going for it. Wonder if it will get close to three million sold like BOV1 did with nothing but old tracks.

About the only interest I have in this is to see if there will be a video/dvd companion piece, and what that will have on it by way of classic video.

There should have been something from Diver Down on BOV1. Little Guitars, Secrets, The Full Bug or Hang 'Em High. Any one of those would have beenn fine.

The whole BOV1 setlist, which apparently Alex picked, baffled me. And The Cradle Will Rock was chosen over Romeo Delight or even Everybody Wants Some to represent WACF?

The no press strategy is easy: Van Hagar is reuniting. What else are you gonna say beyond that? Ed, Al, Mike and Sam just aren't up for a round of press interviews where the obvious question (Why wasn't this a classic lineup reunion tour?) will be asked time and time again. No new album, no new songs (yet). Why bother giving an interview if you got nothing new to talk about?

Dave is still gigging and moving along. I can't imagine Roth has anything to do with this Sam Halen thing. Bad enough Roth went on tour with Hagar two years ago. If Dave has any sense, he'll stay as far away from this as possible, but after him hooking up with Sammy for that tour, sad to say I wouldn't put it past Dave to jump up onstage at a Van Hagar show if asked to by the band (I know it sounds like bullshit, but stranger things have happened)

the only reason I bought bov.1 cd and dvd was dave videos (limited) on dvd and the two dave tracks on cd.

bov.1 wont have either on both and will barely break the 1 mill mark.
