Save Dave campaign

On the main CBS website, they have a picture Adam Corolla featured for CBS Radio. Dave is in the larger market. Corolla is having ratings just as low. They are not doing enough to promote Dave & his show. Have him on Oprah, Letterman, and all of the other shows they run. Even some of the afternoon talk radio shows.

I agree Dave needs some improvement. But I believe that will come with time. CBS needs to honor their contract. I would bet his audience would be a lot bigger at the end of the 2 years and they would resign him. I’m tired of how obvious it is that they are looking for a scapegoat.

Does anyone know how to start an online petition? Christ, people made one for Constantine Maroulis when he was voted off American Idol. The least we could do is have one to keep Dave on the air for the length of his contract.

I’m going to do my small part with emails, letters & phone calls. Here is some contact info if anyone wants to do the same.

I would much rather have him doing the radio show than be the singer in a VH tribute band. Which is basically what his last few tours have been. If you're thinking that if he gets dumped the VH reunion will happen, well, don't hold your breath.

If a reunion were to happen, Dave would drop whatever he was doing to do it, regardless of consequences. Being a radio host won't stop that.

I think we should let nature take it's course. If he gets cancelled or quits, so be it.

I KNOW he loves the radio gig, but only on his terms. I'm sorry to say I don't think it will last doing it the way he wants to do it. I think it could be a great show if he accepted some advice for improvement. As soon as Be Young! and Sasha came back in the studio, Dave went right back into "performance" mode and it's not appealing listening to hours of him laughing at himself. It gets a bit obnoxious.

Of course, I will listen every day because it's Dave but I'd rather enjoy myself than not. I enjoy the interviews and have definitely learned a lot about a variety of subjects I've never even thought about before. The rest needs some refinement.

I think Dave had Brian and Animal there because they are his employees and he controls them. He wouldn't allow a witty sidekick that would take the spotlight off of him. That's unfortunate, because that's what he needs...someone smart and funny that can keep up.

I don't see this working out for him on his terms, and it will end one way or another.

Actually, the Atomic Punks have started to join him. Where did his guitarist come from again? How many EEAS or later songs does he play live?

NorthenGirl, you hit it right on the head. Some of his schtick gets tired, and a good quality sidekick, or radio professional would help drastically. But a lot of the show is fun too. I like to hear Dave everyday. To me, it's better than not knowing anything that's happening with him, and only getting a news paragraph every 6-8 months about EMT training or a Sopranos cameo wasn't enough for me. I also like to hear his take on a lot of subjects. I think I have learned a lot about the man in these last 4 months listening to him talk about a wide variety of subjects other than CVH.

I hear ya. I HAVE to listen every day. I can't NOT! That's why I wish it was a little better. But yeah, a lot of it has been absolutely priceless, and I'm glad we get this chance for as long as it lasts.
