                          Probably wouldn't have gone over too well. SNL definitely did NOT allow lip syncing in those days. Which is a great thing. Live is better. A Live performance on a live TV show.... anything could happen.

                          BTW, why the FUCK was Van Halen never on SNL anyway?

                              Probably because Alex always used Led Zeppelin as the measuring stick, and they didn't do a lot of television either.
