CVH's MUSIC isn't dead...
But the chances of CVH revving up the engine and doing something great are...well, not so hot.
At this point, CVH can distinguish itself in one of two ways
1. Reunite, write and record a KILLER new album, rehearse and put on a show that is so stunning that any claims of a quickie reunion solely for a cash grab are just moot...
OR
2. NOT go the route that every other band does, which is get back together, put out a couple of half-assed tunes on a greatest hits album and hit the road to scoop up as much money as possible in a shameless milking of a memory that would have been better off left in the past.
Now, taking into account the state Edward appears to be in, I'm not so hopeful that they can pull off Option #1. And at this point, I'd rather have them go with Option#2 and soften the blow by opening up the classic audio and video vaults then undertake a half-assed reunion.
