When I first heard some songs of 5150, I thought, "what a shame." 20 years later, all I can say is , "what a sham." What Sammy tried to do is cop Dave from the get-go whilst he spewed about Dave at the concerts. 'heeellllooooo babbbbaaaaa' what a bogus cop of Jerry Lee Lewis with a Dave twist. Even Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page have said they thought, "David Lee Roth was the thing." Sammy couldn't add the vibe, he couldn't add the inverted squeals, 5150 paled 1984. I think anyone who was a fan before that still was after, I would question their musical tastes. Perhaps they are listening to Janet Jackson as well. Perhaps they think their ugly girlfriends will like them better. Whatever. The fact that Van Hagar records sold well just tells me there's way too many phony-ass mo'fos.
