Look...I've done my travelin' to see Roth...

I'm at that age now...where I'm perfectly content to let the fucker tour around where I live...

and I have some distances I'd travel to go see him...make no mistake...

but no...I'm not the fan that drops 500 bucks on plane tickets...concert tickets...and all that other horseshit that some others do...

if you have the way and means to do it...fucking rock on...

like Sesh coming to the states on a vacation and catching some shows...

it all depends on your situations in life...

Look...I'm not here to rate your level of fandom...most people here...in some form or another...are Roth fans...and probably in their own right...think they are the BEST Roth fan...for whatever reason...

going to see him weighs a lot in some peoples eyes...and that's fine and good...

I don't know man...people that bag on others about their "level" of Roth fandom never made sense to me (not that I haven't more than likely done it) because WHO FUCKING CARES...

I've been a fan for 2/3 of my life...it gives me the right to crack on Dave when he does stupid shit...

and like I've said from the start...I don't have to fucking like a take that a Roth fan has...hell...you CAN be a Roth fan and like Hagar VH (although you must also be a giant fucking moron)...it's possible...

    not sure how...

but who are we to fucking say what's right and what's not...

AS LONG AS YOU CAN BACK IT UP...and not sound like some fucking idgit...

Yeah...I like Hagah better because he has better range...

well shit...my fucking dog has better range...but still sounds like a fucking dog...

i never got to see the mighty =vh=,

but i was front row 2 nights in a row in '88.

dave's first tour here. i know what FORD's acronym means.

cvh were there when i had my first fuck, and my first car.

ace made me wanna play guitar, eddie made me want to be

                great at it.

i remember the july after i joined here (i stumbled here off google, and lurked for awhile)

sitting and watching dave playing 'jump' with the boston pops,

and thinking how momentous this occasion was.

it was like a giant middle finger to the travesty of a clusterfuck that was van hagar '04.

                tears welled in my eyes.

i am truly a david lee roth fan.

and i love this ship, and all who sail within her.

I will be the first to admit I have actively participated in many of the shit-talking, juvenile threads in the past.

I agree that most of that stuff is pure apeshit and I can't wait for the new changes.

So, now that we are here, what the fuck is a POJO?

It has to mean something, or it did, once, or you suck.

G-note means LOTS of stuff, right up, it means like the sound of Honkey-Tonk Bitches in Central Park, by dupe-punks who knew both my first and middle names, and my last name, and that the first and middle names are some schmuck who whacked an English King shithead and got Gibson-treatment, you know, Wallace-world.

So I avoid GW, I watch Blair-Bush-Schmuckina, inc. on TV, beach the rest, if I could, but then, I have my various indoor fuckovers cooking.

Not like you are a bassist or something else worth 50, but what's a pojo that goes Sgt. but drifts off? A threadmeyer? is that German?

There was a guy in high school called g-note..wasn't a friend of his...and never knew why...

                        until a reunion...

He played flute in the band (didn't know that in high school...thank god...fucking christ...the flute)...

                        and he was gay...

so the rest of his "friends" called him g-note...

                        gay note...

lol. No, no. I don't know where you heard that, but the rumor is all wrong. Everyone knows that they secretly worked together on this bluegrass effort and it's so obvious they are working a reunion for the Country Music Awards in the fall. Duh :p

See, I dunno. Maybe cuz I'm younger and Dave was my wacky version of Mr. Rogers or maybe cuz I just see things different, but it makes absolutely perfect sense to me for Dave to have a part on this album. Music for me is all about fun. It's not about genre or who's singing it or whether other people think it's cool; It's about me rocking out and forgetting the crap life I have for 4:09 minutes or longer or shorter. But then again, I'm the girl who has a version of DMX's Up In Here done by this guy who sounds like James Taylor -- guitar and all. I love it. One of my favorite songs. I'm weird like that and half the reason I don't spend too much time talking in the House of Music threads -- I'd be eaten alive by some people.

But getting back to the point -- I can't see Dave doing something he doesn't find fun, especially in music. Plus, it lets him expand artistically with songs he's written and performed for we all know how long, and it's a great business move. Yeah, it almost seems scripted with the departure from the radio show to now promoting the CD, but it really is to his advantage. He's been out there, talk of the town, since Nov-Dec-ish. And for some reason, among peeps my age locally here who before wouldn't give a rat's ass, that's also bringing up Eddie. So you have Dave creating publicity for himself, Ed, and as a result CVH. But honestly, that reason is really because Dave puts it out there. Randomly saying he believes in a VH reunion, randomly bitching about how things are, dropping names here and there. He's a publicity genius if you think about it and I really am jealous.

For those of you not too familiar with country, it used to be about the ol' Ford (not FORD :p) pickup dying right after you ran over your best dog trying to get away from your wife who was sleeping with your brother in the trailer. Now there's this party, badass, I'm going to sleep with your girlfriend pal vibe being created to help make it more mainstream and cling on to the NASCAR popularity growth. And it ain't exactly death metal, but it's more about a good time. And who better to sell a good time...? And it's a growing market. Why else would American Idol of all things, and we're not talking music here but business-sense, decide to get involved with the market? So yeah, bluegrass, banjos, David Lee Roth. Makes sense to me, as this fragmented novel to everyone proves. :D
