It is real nice to see a interviewer trully excited or at least non- confrontational or at least honest in her non-fear of showing Dave some interest without a worry of pissing off The Sisters like Leno is, like everyone is.

Very lucky has been artists get their shot at a major radio gig. Dave was fired from radio.

Some lead singers get back with their original band and make a lot of money on a reunion tour. Dave has been snubbed at least four times with Van Halen.

Die hard musicians play music festivas, casinos, and state fairs. This is where Dave will end his career.

Real sellouts try to reinvent themselves as country artists because sevral hasbeens like Kid Rock have found a new market for themselves on CMT. For the loving mercy of God, don't go this route Dave! If I see Dave on stage with Brookes and Dunn or Toby Kieth, I'm going to yak my guts out!
Yeah, Roth did Vegas, yeah Roth did radio, yes Roth has tried to reunite with Van Halen, but he undertook all those efforts on as much of his own terms as was possible -

He wasn't "family friendly" enough, or an instant success in Vegas, so he got the boot.

Same went for the radio gig.

Same went for all the aborted CVH reunion attempts, with the one where he clearly compromised the most being the first one, and seeing where that got him, he has refused to bow in supplication to the Van Halens -

So I'm not sure I'm buying into the theory that Roth is a has-been that will do anything to be popular again, since although he has used a few game plans in the has-been handbook, he's never gotten along to get along in terms of content - he does what he wants to do, even when it may not be in his best financial interests to do so, or may not be the best way to get another 15 minutes of media fame -

What would bring him the most money and attention? A Van Halen reunion. If those were his two main goals overriding all else, he wouldn't be making derogatory comments about the Van Halens to this day, he wouldn't have sued them for what he thought he was due, and he would have kissed their asses and did what they told him to (like, say, Sammy Hagar and Mike Anthony did in 2004).

        But he didn't.

        Explanation, please.
