Strummin with the devil is NOT a DLR record. It is a tribute album to Van Halen. Heonly sings on 2 of the 15 songs.

I actually feel that Dave is on an upswing.. He only appeared on "Strummin with the Devil" it is by no means a DLR album.. I think the whole radio ordeal has made him stronger and hungry for some next steps in his career..

He looks better than he has in years and seems very healthy and happy.. I am pretty excited to see what he does next..

"Jumping the shark" implies that something which was previously successful due to a mainstream-accepted "normality" went and added one odd trait to the flow that then turned people off to the whole vibe [i.e. "Cousin Oliver" added to "The Brady Bunch" cast].

Dave has done oddball, crazy, off-the-wall shit all along, from the start, things that make you forget about your idiotic/mundane life. He is constantly reinventing himself, not necessarily to anyone's liking but his own, which is why you either love him or hate him.

Lately I think DLR has been recycling himself more than reinventing himself. Just turning old trash into new trash...
