    Once And For All!

Can we get an official (or ball park) count on VH/DLR albums sold vs VH/SH? I'm still reading articles that state VH/SH sold more. But people hear say it's Dave era. Can you also tell me where you're getting your info from? Thanks.......
Before I always said I always liked Van Halen with David Lee Roth. Now I have to say I like Van Halen with David Lee Roth & Michael Anthony. It's just too much!

Here's one source, you'll need to click on each album and add them up......

Go to the RIAA web site, and add them up. Of course labels have to put in for albums to be re-certified and it's only US sales not worldwide. Anyone saying VH has sold more albums in the US with Sam is wrong, end of story.

Basically... (from van-halen.com, no live albums or compilations)

        CVH: 34 million

The rest (including "III") : 16,5 million

        In the US alone, apparently.
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

I think Van Hagar sold about 32 records in Europe total.

I think "Van Halen", meaning Van Halen 1, has sold more than

            the Van Hagar collection.

Then again, The best of the DeFranco Family has sold more

            than the Van Hagar collection.

I think Chris Partridge makes fun of the Defranco Family.

The finns bought two copies of "5150". The first one, I bought it for 1 dollar, and the second one: I sold it to my younger cousin.

                        Album Darts : 5150 style.

                        1. affix a copy of 5150 to dart board with a dart through the hole and into the bullseye.

                        2. Spin the record on the dart board, get the hell out of the way while semi drunk pal throws dart at the board.

                        3. Chunks of 5150 go flying around the room as people take turns.

                        4. The one who throws the dart that makes the record fall wins.

                        5. (spare points if your dart hits Love Walks in track)

                        Good Luck

Also, you notice the Van Halen album sales by and large have not been updated since the mid-to-late 90's. Whereas, all Van Hagar albums sales are virtually up to date at around their 2002 totals...

                          Pretty selective...

Really? That would leave out the six-pack in it's recently remastered form. I'm sure that would add quite a bit to each album.

There is no way in hell any Van Hagar album sold more than 1984 in the UK....
