BLABBERMOUTH says VAN HAGAYR remasters are on the way

I quote the whole article from Blabbermouth :

VAN HAGAR : 'Live Without A Net' To Be Released On DVD - May 10, 2004

According to MelodicRock.com, VAN HALEN's classic live video, "Live Without A Net", is finally coming to DVD. The concert was filmed in New Haven, USA in 1986 during the band's first tour with then-new vocalist Sammy Hagar. The video remains a favorite amongst fans and to this day is a spectacular watch. The DVD will be released in Japan on July 2, with a worldwide release expected at a later date.

In other news, Sammy Hagar-era VAN HALEN remasters are in the works and are expected to arrive in the not-too-distant future — possibly before the end of this year.

    Spammy remasters ???

Since when can you polish a turd ???

    No way.

Van Hagar recordings were born as shit, have always been shit and shit will always be, no matter how many time you "remaster" them - or actually defecate them

I hope they used CoolEdit Pro, and made the cybals sound all jangly like trashcan lids recorded on a Sony minidisc like one of Paul Belfi's many self-recorded Van Hagar audience recordings...

They're gonna release Van Hagar shit on DVD before they release Van HALEN Oakland 1981. Unbelieveable.

And I'll bet Ou812 will still sound like it was recorded at the bottom of a pot of molten Velveeta.

Can't believe they would want to reissue that on DVD. They ought to bury it and hope nobody remembers it. It was an embarrassment. Even Ed said it was "very very average". I saw them on that tour and I lost interest. When you saw them before Sammy you couldn't wait to see them again. With Sammy, it was like, where's the beef?

Where's the beef? Sammy ate it :D

Yeah I know that was a really cheap comeback.

                Why would they "remaster" Hagar?

How about that! Even a sheep knows this is ridiculous.

Actually I know what you meant by that. What you meant is that the Van Hagar catalogue just sounds so great it doesn't need to be remastered. What you didn't mean is it's stupid to remaster Hagar because it's akin to wasting time polishing a turd.

No, actually I'd prefer Eminem or Ice T than Van Hagar.

And no, I don't like either at all....tells you how much Hagar sucks....
