guwapo_rocker....What time will you be at the hotel bar before the show? I'll meet up with you guy's around 6 or 6:30. I got extra tix for $20 a piece I'm trying to get rid of also if your looking for any.

I just e-mailed the hotel and asked about a bar/lounge. Kinda hard to tell if they have one on-site.

I also asked if they could suggest something in the vicinity, somewhere between the HI & the HOB.

I'll keep everyone posted..

Tommy....there's a place called Sammy's Grill about 4/10 of a mile away....another called the Octane Cafe and lastly, Critics Cafe.


all are within walking distance of our hotel.

Just got back from watching the Tribe shut out the LA Angels at the Jake...while the stadium was exiting, we heard on the P.A. system...

"....playing all the old Van Halen classics. For tickets, call Ticketmaster at...."

Nice thinking, to advertise at a game, but how about in the middle of it, on the screen, when everyone's watching and listening? Then it would sell out.

I didn't hear back from the hotel. HI really sucks for customer service.

Twonabomber did some reconaissance for us yesterday and said he'd give us an update later today. That'll be over at ddlr.com. I'll make sure it gets cross-posted.

I saw that post. The 3 bars I mentioned, I got from the HI links. They are the 3 closest to the hotel.


Anyplace that has Jack, diet coke and ice cubes is cool with me....:D

i don't think any of those places are open Sunday. they looked dead when i drove by yesterday.

the two or three i found are right around the corner from the HOB. one is on the same block.

i'd really like to get everyone to Cooper'sTown but they are on the other side of the Jake. they are open until 1 am though, and i'm not sure the others are open that late.

Just called the hotel. They do not have a bar.

I don't think I have ever been in a hotel that doesn't have a bar.

I don't know if I can be in a hotel that doesn't have a bar:D

Maybe we should switch to the other holiday inn:D

if you wanna a walk a few more blocks back to the hotel drunk, go ahead. :D plus, if you're gonna ride the rapid downtown and walk to the hotel, you'll have a much farther walk.

it's a Holiday Inn Express...which means not many amenities, i guess.
